SCHEDULING POLICIES

Important information regarding appointments, deposits, and cancellations

ABOUT OUR POLICIES

The following are the standard policies in place for Curiosity Ink in regards to managing clients for scheduling. Some exceptions and limitations apply.

Deposits are made to secure a client's scheduled time and to go towards payment of developing designs. Each artist determines their own rates* and schedules as their individual availability permits; some appointments may take place outside Curiosity Ink's regular posted business hours.

CONSULTS

Consults are free, and generally preferred prior to scheduling a procedure appointment. Consults do not insinuate scheduling a procedure, which must be done separately.

In the case of cover-ups for existing tattoos or scars, an in-person consult is required.

MINORS

We typically do not tattoo any individuals under the age of 18 years. If an exception is made, it is at the discretion of the artist, and only under the signing and supervision of the minor's parent or legal guardian, with proper documents (birth certificate and photo ID), as per state law.

DEPOSITS

All procedure bookings require a minimum $50 deposit— this is subtracted from the total cost of the tattoo. Deposits are non-refundable, with the exception of cancellation on behalf of the artist.

CANCELLATION

Cancellations must be made 48 hours or more before the appointment. In the case of a client's timely cancellation or reschedule - or a cancellation on behalf of the artist - there is no penalty and your deposit can be forwarded to a future appointment.

No-Call No-Shows (NCNS) or cancellations under the 48hr limit on behalf of the clients is a forfeiture of the ($50 or more**) deposit -- rescheduling under these circumstances would require a new deposit.

If a client is more than 15 minutes late to an appointment without notice they may lose their booking.

LIMITATIONS

In order to cultivate a safe and equitable working environment, all designs and subsequent tattoo procedures are at the discretion of the individual artists. A list of our specific accommodations may be produced upon request. We reserve the right to refuse service to any clients, either prospective or established.

RELEASE

Any combination of three (3) NCNS or late-notice cancellations will result in release as a client from our roster. This may be negotiable at the discretion of the artist or business owner.

REFERRAL

In the event that we are unable to perform a tattoo procedure due to a conflict in policy, skill, or other limitations, we are typically able to, and prefer, to refer to a list of other studios that may be accommodating.
